About Us
Hannaberry Farm offers year-round equestrian programs for all ages.
With a large outdoor dressage arena, stadium jumping field, indoor arena, and cross country field, students are offered a variety of equestrian challenges at all levels.
Lessons at Hannaberry Farm are geared to all levels of recreational rider, building skills and confidence in the saddle.
Our program was designed to cater to the needs of riders who have busy lives or jobs that don’t allow the luxury of a full time horse hobby. We offer the same attention and quality of lessons you would expect if you owned your own horse, aiming to build a bond between horse and rider.
Our barn is a private barn that focuses on personalized instruction. We cater to riders who want to expand their knowledge beyond basic riding skills and those who look to excel. We love students who ask questions! For those people who want an expanded riding environment, we periodically host clinics with nationally recognized equestrian professionals in a variety of disciplines.
We have a large variety of schooling horses in all sizes and shapes, most of them with strong show backgrounds. This allows us to find you a horse that makes your lessons fun and educational. We want to build your confidence while you build your relationship with an equine partner. If you fall in love with riding, or a specific horse, we offer lease and share-board opportunities to riders in our program. We also annually host two schooling shows in dressage and jumping.
All our winter lessons are held in our spacious indoor domed arena. When weather permits we offer an outdoor dressage arena, stadium jumping field, and cross country practice field. Students can experience a variety of equestrian challenges at all levels.
Classes are under the direction of Denise Berry-Hanna, a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) master trainer in English riding. We offer select, qualified specialists as teachers who instruct the beginner, intermediate or advanced rider in specific aspects of the discipline.
Facilities
There are two barns and a full sized outdoor arena with sand and limestone footing. Our indoor arena is allows us to have lessons going year-round. Lessons are offered for all ages and abilities. Training and limited boarding are also available.
Whatever your goals are, for you and your horse, Hannaberry Farm can help you achieve them.
Personal Statement
I like to think Hannaberry Farm teaches riders more than just how to ride. We develop the riders love of horses by teaching horse care, safety, grooming and show prep in tandem with riding skills. We have riders of all ages and abilities, from beginner to competitive levels. Our goal is that every rider develops confidence and independence through their equestrian activities. We teach horsemanship as an integral part of our program with a focus on a safe, kind horse interaction. We strive to ensure every student finds a unique connection with the horses.
Helping a student find their own passion and connection in the relationship between horse and rider is my goal. There is nothing better than realizing you are working with this animal and they are your partner, that they trust you, and they understand and respect you.
“Denise is an incredible trainer! She's an experienced rider and great with riders of all ages and all levels. She treats animals and humans with respect, her barn is well-maintained, and she develops a real community of riding enthusiasts.”
